Ch Sanbar's Curtain Call, JH (Jonnie) with Adam Wilkerson Westminster Kennel Club Best of Breed 2004

Sanbar Kennels is a privately-owned facility in the Southern California countryside specializing in the breeding and performance of champion Brittanys.

Located near the Santa Rosa Plateau preserve in Murrieta California, Sanbar Kennels has been owned and operated by the founder, Polly West, her son, Bob, and daughter-in-law, Carolyn. Polly has endeavored for over forty years to breed Brittanys that perform at the champion level in the show ring, and can still "go out and run in the fields as a hunting dog," to achieve the level of Dual Brittany (show and field).

Bob has taken these show champion Brittanys to the field to demonstrate their hunting and trialing capability. The result has been seven dual champions crossing generations proving that elegant show Brittanys can compete at a high level, including winning and placing in National Gun Dog Championships.

The history of Sanbar Kennels is a colorful one, which proves with love and dedication; dreams can be accomplished.
