Pete finished Champion at 10 months of age. Pete has always been a ornery and inquisitive dog. He is known for his playfulness and getting into trouble. When it is show time or field time, he is all business. After being out of the show ring for 4 years, he showed at the 2011 Nationals like he had been doing it every weekend. He won his National Qualifiers class, and made three cuts in Best of Breed after being in the field training the week before the Nationals. He was a woolly beast, but Shea pulled off a miracle in grooming him in less than 4 hours.
